Uyen emigrated from Vietnam with her family in 1975 and remains fluent in
Vietnamese. She earned both her Bachelor of Arts (1995, magna cum laude) and law degree (2000, cum laude) from the University of Minnesota. Since joining the firm, Uyen has been selected as an Up-and-Coming Attorney by Minnesota Lawyer and has also been named a Minnesota Super Lawyer by Mpls/St. Paul Magazine and Minnesota Law and Politics. She has written for the Minnesota Trial Lawyers Association, the Minnesota State Bar Association and co-teaches the Court's in Session course for Prosource Educational Services. Uyen currently serves on the Board of Directors for Minnesota Women Lawyers and as an adjunct professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, teaching auto insurance law.
