Brian is a graduate of the University of Minnesota (B.A., 1969) where he played
baseball for the Gophers. Brian went on to earn his Master of Arts in Education from the University of St. Thomas (1974) and
spent seven years as a coach and high school teacher. After graduating from William Mitchell College of Law cum laude (1982),
Brian served as a judicial clerk for Justice George Scott of the Minnesota Supreme Court. Brian is a coauthor of the 1988 and 1990
Minnesota Liquor Liability Law and has been named a Minnesota Top Lawyer by Mpls/St. Paul Magazine and Minnesota Law and Politics since 1995.
Brian currently focuses his practice on alternative dispute resolution and has served as a mediator and arbitrator in more than 1,000 cases.
